ATTENTION IN THE PADDOCK!! Let's go first call for our first ever Open Track Day/ 5 Hour Endurance Race (more info to come) Lamar County Speedway is utilizing the Westhold timing and scoring system for the event, both track day and races. If you have your own transponder you may use that. If not, don't worry! We will have Westhold transponders for rental during both track day and races. The open track day is for all ages and skill levels! The Racing is for all ages and skill levels.
We welcome spectators as this is a family friendly event!

BIKE REQUIREMENTS
----------------------------------------
-NO BIKES LARGER THAN 450cc!
-NO knobby tires
-NO open bar ends
-NO Antifreeze or glycol based coolant (straight water, water wetter, engine ice, or similar products are allowed)
-Oil fill and drain must be safety wired
-Peg and axle sliders are required
-Headlights, turn signals, and brake lights must be taped.
-Tags must be removed or taped if the sides are bare metal.
- CATCH CANS!! If a fluid of any kind can drip/leak from your bike it MUST be routed to a catch can. This means a catch can IS NEEDED for carb overflow, radiator overflow, and even crankcase vent (either routed to a catch can or to the intake)
This helps keep any fluid off the track in the event of a crash.
- RACE BIKES MUST HAVE VISIBLE NUMBER ON FRONT AND SIDE OF BIKE
 
RIDER REQUIREMENTS

-One piece leather suit or two piece leather suit (must zip 3/4 or more around waist)
-Motorcycle racing gloves
-Shin high motorcycle boots
-DOT Full Face Helmet or DOT Motor-cross helmet w/ goggles
-Goggles Must be worn at all times if wearing a motocross helmet. 
-Visors are to be down if at speed on course

Endurance Race Rules
Bike Requirements
- 
All bikes must first pass SEMM tech inspection requirements for safety (visit website for details)
 - 
125CC Engine displacement limit, all other modifications are allowed
 - 
No GP chassis (Ohvale, Bucci, or any in similar design) must be dirt bike/street bike chassis
 - 
“B Bikes” are allowed, but with deductions
 
Rider Requirements
- 
Minimum of 2 riders, no max rider limit
 - 
Minimum age of 8 years old.
 
Rules Of The Race
Practice
- 
Endurance teams/riders may practice during the LAST HOUR of the open track day. If riders wish for more practice they may sign-up for the open track as they usually would.
 
Start, Race and Restart Procedure
- 
Le Mans style running start
 - 
A teammate is allowed to hold the motorcycle but the motorcycle must be turned off completely
 - 
All teams must complete one (1) mandatory rider change during green flag running race, any rider change during the red flag will not count
 - 
In the event of Red Flag riders will be grid based on standing from the previous lap, single file standing starts for any re-start during the 2 hour period. Red flags do not stop the race clock.
 - 
Riders/teams who caused the red flag will be grid in the last spot on the re-start grid
 - 
Red Flags will only be thrown if the rider is either unresponsive, unable to move to a safe place off track, or the bike is unable to be moved to a safe place off track.
 
Safety
- 
Engines must be off during rider swaps and refueling
 - 
All teams who perform refueling MUST have at MINIMUM a 10lb fire extinguisher with a crew member holding the extinguisher with pin REMOVED during refueling, if only swapping riders no fire extinguisher is required
 - 
Work is allowed on motorcycles during pit stops and red flags
 - 
NO RACING/PASSING IN THE PITS
 
Penalties via Lap Deductions
- 
No rider swap during race = 10 lap deduction
 - 
No fire person during refueling = 20 Lap deduction
 - 
Bike not off during pit stop = 5 Lap deduction
 - 
Passing in the pits = 10 lap deduction first incident / 50 lap deduction each after (PER TEAM)
 - 
Unsafe Track Entry / Exit = 2 lap deduction
 - 
Passing while under waving yellow = 2 Lap deduction
 - 
“B Bike” entry mid race = 10 Lap deduction

Overnight camping is free. The track has restrooms and showers available.
The track gates will be open all night and morning so you may arrive at anytime throughout the night just be mindful of others who are camping.
There is concrete pit paddock area available. DO NOT PIT UNDER THE PIT-OUT PAVILION. (Please do not pit near a 10a power spot if you aren't planning on paying for it). There is also plenty of overflow grass area parking.
WRISTBANDS!!

Everyone entering the facility will get a wristband after paying the gate fee.
YOU MUST HAVE THIS WRISTBAND ON AT ALL TIMES.
Anyone without a wristband will be asked to pay the gate fee or to leave the property. This is a Lamar County Speedway rule and we will follow it.
